Friday, 01 Jan 2010

Google is rumored to be launching their version of the iPhone on January 5th, 2010. The phone is believed to be called the “Nexus One.” An invitation only press event has been scheduled two days before the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

The phone has been getting lots of internet buzz among techies. Several photos have been showing up on the internet claiming to be the Nexus One. There have been some clues about what kind of technology this new phone will offer. The phone is believed to be equipped with the Android 2.1 operating system, 5-megapixel camera, and Wi-Fi all viewed on a 3.7 inch touch screen.

One of the most exciting features that is rumored to be a part of the Nexus One, is the ability to purchase an unlocked phone to use with the carrier of your choice. This cuts out the need to sign extensive contracts with a cell phone carrier in order to get the phone. T-Mobile may be partnering with Google to offer a discounted price with a contract agreement. Leaked information has the price tag for the phone starting at $530 dollars.
