Apple’s media invitations for March 2nd are expected to herald the release of the iPad 2.

Apple’s invitations started showing up on media desks earlier in the week. Apple’s newest version of the tablet iPad should deliver a camera to allow for face-to-face chat across the Internet.

A new graphics chip is also being installed in the iPad 2 with dual cores, leading to speculation that the iPad 2 might allow users to watch high-definition 1080p video.

The new graphics chip should also produce upgraded graphics for apps and games. Increased storage will help users keep more videos and photos on the iPad 2.

The length and width of the iPad 2 is not expected to change, but it should be thinner. While users originally said that the first iPad could be difficult to hold up for long periods of time, the iPad 2 should be easier to hold upright.
