Teens Charged for Nude Pics on Phones

Thursday, 05 Feb 2009

New research has linked the development of some various bone proteins and the development of what is referred to as good fat.

There’s now cause to think twice, beyond the obvious reasons, before exchanging private or explicit photographs with another via cell phone, especially if you’re under the age of 18. The growing trend of “sexting” has gained the national spotlight, with six Pennsylvania high school students facing child pornography charges after nude and semi-nude photographs were distributed among classmates through cell phones.

Three female students, aged 14-15, at Pennsylvania’s Greensburg Salem High School have been charged with manufacturing, disseminating, or possessing child pornography after sending compromising photographs to three of their male classmates. The three older students on the receiving end, aged 16-17, face charges of possessing child pornography and could face incarceration, or at the very least, the prospect of registering as sex offenders under Pennsylvania state legislation.

The explicit photos were discovered by school officials when one of the male student’s phones was confiscated for a violation of school regulations pertaining to cell phone use and the teacher involved found a nude photograph, which lead to further investigation and further discovery by authorities. Although the initial discovery was made months ago in October, police have only recently decided to arrest and charge the teenagers.
