Microsoft Deals With Xbox Live Cheaters

Boston – Microsoft threw a slap to Xbox 360 users who cheat on Xbox Live.  Any Xbox Live user who cheated to raise the Achievements points to add to their Gamerscore had their scores whiped.

Major Nelson stated “Today we took action on some of the accounts we have identified as the most serious offenders who have violated the Xbox Live Terms of Use by tampering with their Gamerscore and Achievements.”

The Xbox Live team has begun to erase any Gamerscore Achievements which were achieved illegally.

The Gamerscores were whiped out to zero, and a tag was placed with the Gamertag stating that the particular user was a cheater.

Any Achievement earned illegally will not be able to earned again either.

It appears that all will know who are the true cheaters over Xbox Live.
