iPhone and Android Updates For Gmail
Jacksonville – Gmail just became a bit more accessible for your portable devices.
The iPhone and the Android both have had program updates released to make Gmail easier to read–and write, faster to load, and more secure.
The application is reported to crash less than previous versions and incorporate more advanced search features. Also, threaded conversation capability features are included along with what designers and programmers are referring to as a ‘floaty bar’ which is intended to make typing messages less of a task.
The updates for both devices though are not exactly device specific for Gmail. Instead the capabilities and advances are browser based. This may seem lazy on Google’s part but the fact is with more compliant, flexible browsing capabilities, the more flexible Google can be when designing new features.
Also, Google saves hours of time and a decent chunk of money by not having to write device-specific code.
The new features and increased ease of use should make the overall portable Gmail experience more pleasant and far less stressful.
