Motorola launches Android Phone in South Korea
Technology is rapidly changing the way that everyone lives; one place where this can be seen is in the mobile phone market where Apple and Motorola have been aggressively trying to dominate. One such example of this is with Motorola unveiling the Android in South Korea. The move follows a series of missteps that the company made as far as product models and sales are concerned; with the company facing a serious slow down and declining market share. Together, these two elements are forcing Motorola to enter one of the fastest growing cell phone markets that is dominated by the likes of: Apple, Nokia and Samsung. According to the company they plan on selling the new phone for the equivalent of about $800.00 (which is what the iPhone costs in South Korea).
What all of this shows, is that as the mobile phone market is shifting, so are the fortunes of the different manufacturers. In the case of Motorola, they were on top of the world with the Razor, then, when the iPhone debuted on the market everything changed. Now, the company is struggling to regain its footing, in a severely weak spending environment. Only time will tell if the company will be successful with the Android in South Korea.
