The world waits with excitement for the new Apple iSlate tablet

Wednesday, 27 Jan 2010

The world has been buzzing with rumors in anticipation of the unveiling of a new device. Apple has invited media and analysts to the Yerba Beuna Center for the Arts in San Fransisco where their latest creation is expected to be revealed. Apple is keeping pace with several other computer manufacturing heavyweights who have already unveiled demos of their new computer tablets which will become available later this year.

The new Apple tablet computer may be called either the iSlate or the iPad. The operating system of this device is to be based on the operating system of the Apple iPhone. The cost of the device is expected to be less than $US1000 and it’s designated uses would be for education, business, and video gaming.

Although tablet computer devices have been around for a couple of decades, they haven’t generated much interest among everyday consumers. Most of these devices have been marketed to specific industries, such as delivery companies like UPS. Apple transformed the way consumers enjoy music with the release of the iPod and changed the smartphone market with the iPhone. If any technology company can make tablet computers a success with the mainstream consumer it would be Apple. apple-islate-world-waits
