Google Nexus One Update

Monday, 01 Feb 2010

Google Nexus One users who are currently troubled by the T-Mobile patchy 3G service might have an unlikely savior.

AT&T seemingly has a Google Nexus One Smartphone that works, according to blogs by Brighthand and Engadget. They state that the Federal Communications Commission has given thumbs up to the device on carrier AT&T.

It is not yet known what the device actually is, but what is known is that the device is possibly a 3G cell on WCDMA Bands I, II, and V.

3G Nexus One Magic Of HTC?

Now what is slightly puzzling is the fact that apparently the FCC had information on its Website regarding information on an HTC device with the ID number of NM899110, for those of you who might see some kind of familiarity in the ID number then you would be right, given that it is only one number away from Google’s Nexus One. See a report on the ID Numbers salvaged from Engadget here: http://www.engadget.com/2010/01/29/nexus-one-for-atandts-3g-bands-likely-in-the-works/

Not surprisingly the FCC has withdrawn all content of the said ID Numbers and the AT&T device, who know what the repercussions of such information might have been. But it does go to show that something is going on behind the scenes somewhere.

Sold On Google Webstore

Google’s Webstore have been selling an unlocked version of the Nexus One for $529, running on GSM/2.5G.
It is anybody’s guess as to what tinkering is going on at Google and the cell carriers at T-Mobile and AT&T to get things right on the 3G network.PD*33390897
