Apple iPad Update: Copyright Infringement?

Tuesday, 02 Feb 2010

Over the last ten years, Apple has turned the world upside down with the innovative products that it released such as the iPhone and the iPod. Recently, the company has been working on a portable tablet computer called the iPad.

What makes the product so unique is: the device is portable, has a touch screen and compatable with all the Apple’s apps used on iPhone and iPod. However, a new twist has occurred in the development of the iPad, alleged copyright infringement.  Reports have begun to surface out of China that Apple had taken the idea of the new product from the P88 (which is manufactured by the Shenzhen Great Loong Brother Company). According to company officials, the iPad is so similar to the P88, that they could seek an injunction in preventing Apple from selling the iPad in China.

What all of this shows, is how the overall competition for the next big electronic device is only continuing to heat up. This situation is made even more bizarre, when you consider the fact that China has been known for various copyright violations that have occurred. Only time will tell, if Apple will be able to show that their new product is not the same as the one sold by the Shenzhen Great Loong Brother company.apple-ipad-copyright-infringement
