Google sends out fix for Nexus One

The most recent Google Nexus One update fixes the 3G issue and adds multi-touch touchscreen support. Google has already begun sending out the update to all Nexus One users which will fix the 3G connectivity issues that has been reported by many users and will be adding several new features to the phone. After receiving over over 1,500 complaints in a support forum from complaining customers having trouble connecting to 3G, Google is now acting on their promise of a fix.

Tuesday, February 2nd Google posted a message on its Nexus One news and updates page making the statement that it had started delivering the software update. Included in the software update are changes to the phone’s web browser, photo gallery and maps application will now support pinch-to-zoom control of these apps. Most of the recent versions of the Android OS are multi-touch capable but no phone in the United States before the update has supported it. Also coming with this update will be Google Goggles, an application to the Nexus One which will allow users to take pictures of an object and search for it online and the other will be an update to Google maps which makes it easier to view the maps at night.google-sends-fix-nexus-one
