Big 12 Tournament Schedule and 2010 Conference Bracket (UPDATE 2)
The Big 12 Tournament is set to continue with semi-final action on Friday. Thus far, the 2010 tournament has had minimal surprises or upsets as the four highest seeded teams remain. With that said, the remaining two rounds of the tournament are bound to be full of excitement.
The first of the two games scheduled on Friday is between the Kansas Jayhawks and the Texas A&M Aggies. The Jayhawks, who are the number one in the country and led by Sheron Collins and Cole Aldridge, are heavily favored to defeat the Aggies. The Aggies, who are ranked #24 nationally, are fresh off of a close victory over the Nebraska Cornhuskers.
In the second game of the day the Kansas State Wildcats will face the Baylor Bears. Both the Wildcats and Bears are coming off of convincing quarterfinal victories. The Wildcats beat the Oklahoma State Cowboys by 19 points and the Bears beat the Texas Longhorns by 19 as well. The Wildcats, who are ranked 9th nationally, are expected to win the game.
The winners of both games will meet in the Big 12 Conference title game on Saturday. The game, which will be played in Kansas City, MO, will determine which team gets and automatic bid into the NCAA tournament.
