Line2 app revolutionizing the cell phone industry
A new application designed for the iPhone could be on the verge of revolutionizing the cellular communications industry. The new application, which is known as Line2, would allow a user to pay for a second phone line through their iPhone. This would be ideal for anyone who wants to carry two phones, ie one for business and one for personal calls, but not two separate phones.
Unlike the Google Voice application which makes it difficult to determine if a call is personal of business, Line2 will easily separate the two numbers and allow the user to recognize if the call is to their personal or business line.
The new application, which was developed by Toktumi, could also help an iPhone user cut down on their minutes used and their phone bill. The new application will allow a user to make phone calls through a WiFi network, which will not require them to use any of their wireless phone minutes. This could then allow the user to accept a cheaper plan, which comes with less “free” minutes.
The new application has received good reviews thus far. The interface for Line2 is supposedly very easy to use, and is quite similar to the basic phone interface used on the iPhone.
