Indiana Unemployment service “Uplink” helps the unemployed

Sunday, 18 Apr 2010

Uplink is the Indiana Department of Workforce Development’s way of offering self service, automated Unemployment services. Claimants have access to these services seven days a week, twenty-four hours a day. The system allows a claimant to apply for unemployment benefits and weekly benefits on line, as well as review claim status. It’s an easy system to use and a welcome addition for the many unemployed Indiana State residents who are trying to claim benefits.

To make working with the system as easy as possible, there are access help screens and navigational tools to assist claimants. The system also allows users to manage their own profiles.

The Uplink Self Service Systems has reportedly improved customer service and reduced processing time for unemployment insurance claims. Those supporting the Uplink Service commend it for modernizing the state’s unemployment insurance system and a positive upgrade in services for employers and workers throughout the state of Indiana.

Unemployed Indiana residents can not only apply for or claim weekly benefits, they can also go to the ‘search jobs’ log in and connect to the Indiana Career Center to create a profile and job description. Users can also request job referrals that match their profiles. For more information go to http://www.in.gov/dwd/2434.htm#whatis . acess-indiana-unemployment-uplink-unemployed
