Bret Michaels rushed into ICU with brain hemorrhage just days after emergency appendectomy
Poison lead singer Brett Michaels has been sent to an undisclosed hospital after suffering an apparent brain hemorrhage and is in critical condition. It is believed Michaels is in ICU and undergoing tests. The 47-year old rocker has made appearances recently on reality shows.
Currently he is on Donald Trump’s ‘Celebrity Apprentice’ where it was revealed he suffers from diabetes. It is not known if his current condition has anything to do with the emergency appendectomy he had two weeks ago. He will be monitored closely for the next couple days in ICU before any additional information will be released, says a family friend.
Michaels has fronted Poison for over 25 years, and with hits like ‘Every Rose Has Its Thorn’, ‘Fallen Angel’, and ‘Nothin’ But a Good Time’, the band sold over 14 million records in the United States alone and millions more all over the world.
Michaels’ career was reborn with his ‘Rock of Love’ reality show and the fact that he has recently recorded a song with Miley Cyrus. Michaels has two daughters, Raine Elizabeth and Jorja Bleu. The girl’s mother, Kristi Lynn Gibson and Michaels dated for almost 10 years, but are currently seperated. Michaels resides in Los Angeles, CA.
