Monday, 26 Apr 2010

Google Nexus One fans have been holding their breath waiting for the next big thing in Smartphones to finally hit stores and on April 30th their waiting will be over. The Nexus One is Google’s newest endeavor in the Smartphone industry and is purported to be the most advanced. In the UK Vodafone has finally announced when it will be available to its customers and the nearness of the date is likely to generate some real excitement.

Starting today, Vodafone has said it will allow its customers to preorder the phone as long as they sign up for an 18 or 24 month contract will be the first to get their phones when it is released at the end of the month. Vodafone had been extremely tightlipped about when the phone was due to be released, including not confirming as late as a week ago that the Nexus One would be available by the end of April.

In the United States, the Droid Incredible is a close cousin to the Nexus One and is being offered exclusively by Verizon Wireless. This particular model of the Smartphone is still considered the top of the Droid line of phones and will do many of the same things that the Nexus One will offer in Great Britain. American customers also get the advantage of actually being able to purchase this particular model one day earlier and are also being allowed to pre-order the phone as long as they also sign up for a two year contract.
