Stop by Baskin-Robbins Today for a 31 cent Scoop of Ice Cream
In an effort to raise money for charity, Baskin-Robbins is offering their ice cream for 31 cents per scoop today.
Today, Baskin-Robbins shops across the nation will be offering a scoop of ice cream for 31 cents. You read correctly. Between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. today, a 2.5-ounce scoop of any flavor ice cream will cost you a mere 31 cents. There are 31 flavors to choose from, so be sure to come prepared. The scoops will be served in a cup or cone. This is a great deal considering the average cost of a scoop of ice cream from Baskin-Robbins any other day of the week would be around $2.
The company plans to donate $100,000 to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation, which raises money to recognize fallen heroes and to help their families and colleagues. Several shops plan to host local firefighters tonight. Some firefighters may even be serving up the ice cream for customers.
This seems to be a big money-maker for the franchise. According to the company, last year these nights alone sold more than 4 million scoops of ice cream. This will be the fourth time that Baskin-Robbins has hosted a 31 Cent Scoop Night. This being the case, everybody wins in this scenario. We get cheap ice cream, firefighters raise money for charity, and Baskin-Robbins has a profitable night.
The same initiative is going on today in Canada as well. Baskin-Robbins shops there are offering 31 cent scoops to their residents and raising money for the Canadian Fallen Firefighters Foundation.
