Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 stimulus package released on PS3
One of the hottest video game franchises of all time has released a new add on for one of its most popular installments in the series. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 was released in November 2009 on Xbox360, PS3, and PC with high anticipation following the success of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Now the makers of the game, Infinity Ward, have announced that Tuesday May, 4 2010 will be the release date for its immensely popular new addition known as the “Stimulus Package”. The add on package provides gamers with three new multiplayer maps and two new arenas from the original warfare.
The “Stimulus Package” was first released onto Microsoft’s Xbox360 platform at the end of March 2010 and experienced immediate success. Nearly 2.5 million Xbox Live users downloaded the add on during its first week. The May 4 release date is for the PS3 network and PC platform. Playstation and PC users will have to pay the same fee to purchase the add on that Xbox users did, $14.99.
The “Stimulus Package” comes with five new maps all together named Bailout, Crash, Overgrown, Salvage, and Storm as well as some additional features for players. Gamers will see some familiar backdrops with a new twist on them as the new maps take them around the world. One map has gamers in an American apartment complex while other maps include a wide open village, a war torn city, a snow covered salvage yard, and a warehouse with heavy rainfall.

I can’t get it online either. What a mess. The game shows it’s available but playstation store doesn’t have it how does that happen?
They are suppose to be released at 1 pm Eastern Standard Time. Every one go to google and type in time zones. Click the first link that says World Clock Time Zones. Find New York see what time it will be at 1 and then find it in your city.
Can’t see it it ps store anywhere. That suxxxx!!!!!! I was hoping on getting it to play this morning but no luck. As mentioned b4, the new update does state that the maps r available in the ps store, but once u go looking for it, won’t find anything.

No, the Modern Warfare 2 DLC maps will come out with the PSN Store update Tuesday afternoon-ish (Pacific time). Not too long!

1pm eastern time = 6pm in the UK …… I have looked on every add on pack on the playstation.network …. still nothing ….why publish a date and then not stick to it.

I tried going on the PSN Store @ midnight along with my boys but we kept waiting; every now and then we’d take a break from playing our Deathmatches to check, and nothing. Now I check it again (it’s 1:40pm) and there STILL isn’t anything. It’s one thing to say that the DLC release date is a certain day, but it’s another to not inform consumers of any delays or setbacks. Especially with online articles such as this one saying that the Stimulus Package is now available in the PSN Store, leading all of us consumers to believe that we can all download it. Samoprd79, I hope you’re right with the update this afternoon – but then again that ties back to the lack of communication going on with Sony and Infinity Ward to us gamers… SMH

Theyt said on the infinityward website it was out today even on the game itself once turned on says its in the playstation store anyone know when they plan on updating it
I heard that Infinity ward was in a fix trying to get legal rights or something and that the package may still come out today or some other time with no specific date yet.

we bought the maps but haven’t been able to play them…how do we play them? we tried to set up a private match and choose the bonus map but it wouldn’t let us… can anyone help?

I was checking all yesterday and nothing changed on the PSN and i have been searching all day for more info on this but no one seems to have any ideas why the UK doesn’t have anything. I bought the new maps on Tuesday afternoon, and I have been playing it for the last 3 days. I have yet to play one of the new maps though. I paid $15 dollars for something that I am not even able to enjoy. I installed the add on pack, does anyone know if I do anything else?
Managed to get the pack last night, Sony seem to have sorted the issues as i sailed through it. Down loaded in 6-7 mins and have so far played all the maps through the stimulas levels at the bottom. Lots of search and destroy, domination and team death matches! lookin good to me and nice to play Crash and Overgrown again!
Yo i got the stimulus pack but it won’t install. It gets to 14% install then stops and says Error. Wtf, is anyone else having this issue?

i install it in the ps3, after buying and i dont see it. How can i play it?
when you click fin game it is the stimulus pack at the bottom of all the options. as long as you down loaded the right one. There is 7 and you just need to check the code on the spine of your game box matches the download.
