Wednesday, 09 Jun 2010

For the past 17 years, the most popular soccer video game in the world has been the FIFA series, which is developed and published by Electronic Arts under the EA Sports brand. While the game has continued to grow to incorporate more teams and players across the world and evolved to use current video game technology to its fullest, it appears that the game will continue to grow in 2011.

Earlier this week, EA Sports released the first details and screenshots of the 19th version of the FIFA soccer series. FIFA 2011 will include new features that will drastically improve player control and bring overall improved game play to the player.

The first big addition to FIFA 2011 is the “Personality” function. This function of the game will show greater detail of each player’s distinctiveness and detail, which will further separate one player from the next. Each player will be assigned ratings on 36 different traits and 57 different attributes. The ratings are based off of the analysis completed by over 1,700 scouts across the world.

The second large addition to FIFA 2011 is the pro passing function. This new passing function will greatly improve a player’s control of passing during the game. Players will now have to control both the direction and power of a pass. Also, new types of passes added to the game will allow a player to more effective passes.

While these functions will greatly improve game play, EA Sports is expected to announce more improvements in the coming months.
