Relationship Woes Harder on Men
According to a new study, men are actually the emotional ones when it comes to a relationship with a woman. The study blows the stereotypical views of an emotional woman bawling her eyes out over problems in a relationship or being more emotionally affected by break-ups. The study proves that men are actually more susceptible to the emotional strains of a relationship than women.
Robin Simon of the Wake Forest University conducted the study that has been published in the Journal of Health and Social Behavior. For the study, Simon evaluated 1,000 unmarried men and women between the ages of 18 and 23. The study revealed that although women tended to become depressed over problems in a relationship, men who outwardly appeared unaffected turned to an alternative means to express their emotions. The young men who had relationship issues or failed relationships were more likely to have substance abuse problems. The broken hearted men were also prone to self-worth issues following a break-up.
The researchers involved in the study speculate that the reason women are not as affected by a relationship ending is the network of friends they generally have. Typically, men do not talk with their friends about the emotions associated with a break-up and are less likely to have the support that women get from their friends and family. Men admitted to turning to drugs or alcohol to cope. On a positive note, men are more likely to experience greater highs when a relationship is healthy and happy.

No kidding.. they needed a study? lol
All women care about are themselves and MONEY, bottom line.
