NHL 11 Demo Released

EA Sports is releasing a demo of their latest hockey simulator today.

A demo version of NHL 11 was released on Xbox Live early on August 17th. EA Sports is releasing the Playstation version at 2 pm Pacific on the same day. EA Sports says the time may vary depending upon Sony’s internal protocols for accepting games.

Nathan Ng, NHL 11′s producer, expects fans to enjoy the demo. As he said in released remarks, “In the demo, you will get a first look at Hockey Ultimate Team. What is included in your HUT will be a starter pack, with a mix of prospects and some rare cards. You will get to play through an offline tournament. In each portion of the tournament bracket you get to play will be the 3rd period of the game. If you you win, you move on. If you lose, you start from the beginning of the tourney.”

Also included in the demo will be a Battle for the Cup game. The match will be between the Chicago Blackhawks and Philadelphia Flyers, set in the third period of a Game Seven. The score will be randomly generated, with players playing for a Stanley Cup win.
