Michael Douglas Cancer Update

The actor Michael Douglas recently revealed on The Late Show with David Letterman that he has been diagnosed with an advanced stage 4 throat cancer. On the show he spoke about one of the symptoms of throat cancer that had been bothering him which was a nagging sore throat.

He believes that his lifestyle choices over the years have not been good ones. The years and years of partying, alcohol drinking and smoking cigarettes most likely have contributed to his condition. He also believes that the stress he has undergone this past year has also played a part in the decline of his health. This past April Michael Douglas’ son was incarcerated as a result of his addiction problems. He has also been in a legal battle with his ex-wife regarding payment for his movie Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps.

Other symptoms of throat cancer may include, coughing; painful or difficult swallowing; hoarseness; ear pain; a lump in the back of the throat of neck; difficulty breathing; bleeding from the throat or blood-tinged sputum.

Michael Douglas is currently undergoing chemotherapy and radiation treatment. He reported to the press on Friday, ”I like my odds…The tumor is shrinking. The odds are good.”

Doctors mean well but they are not god. Any symptom
