Halo $200M in One Day
It seems that gamers genuinely love their Halo games. The newest Halo, Halo Reach, hit a record of $200 million in sales for the first day! These epic sales figures are a combined total from the US and Europe.
The last Halo game, Halo 3 showed sales of $170 million the first day in the US alone and had sales of $330 million during its first week.
According to Microsoft, this figure marks the best launch of any movie or game this year.
The Microsoft Halo series has sold over 34 million copies and has grossed over $2 billion dollars during the nine-year history.

the sales figures you reported for halo reach is not a combination of the U.S and europe. The 200 million in sales for Halo Reach is for the U.S only. Microsoft has not released sales figures for Europe or japan as of 9AM cst 17 sep 10. Typicaly the figures for Europe and Japan will come sometime next week.
