Google Doodle Marks John Lennon’s Death
Google Honors Lennon’s Legacy With Commemorative Video
For many years, Google has occasionally interchanged its logo for a “doodle,” a sketch that celebrates holidays, inventions, artists, and other events. However, in celebration of John Lennon’s 70th birthday, Google has done something a little different with its homepage–a commemorative short video clip complete with animation and music. This innovative video honors John Lennon a day before his birthday.
The doodle initially shows a hill with Lennon’s face peering over.
Once clicked, the doodle opens to play a 32 second short animated video of Lennon’s most popular song, “Imagine” with animated drawings of dandelion petals flowing through the air.
