Prices Cut on PSP Go

Sonny has announced that PlayStationPortable Go or PSP Go prices will be slashed.

The company cut the price in Japan by 37% to Y16,800 or $208.00 in an attempt to boost sales. Last week Sony dropped its U.S. price to $199.00, a reduction of $50.00.

When introduced last year, the PSP Go was marketed as a portable gaming device that also provided its user with a new way to watch movies.

However, the game applications on advanced mobile phones and the high price of the PSP Go have resulted in disappointing sales.

So far, there has been no announcement about a possible price reduction in Europe.
