The Meaning Of GMMXLE

If you have visited google today, you probably noticed the letters GMMXLe. These letters are not meaningless as they represent the new year 2011 coming. The Roman Numerals G, M, M, X, L, and E added together make 2011.

This is a unique way to welcome in the new year. Once again Google has come up with a unique icon for a great holiday.

   Well, no. G is not a roman numeral, neither is e. MMXL = 2040

   It actually reads MMXI, which is 2011. So, G 2011 E. Google
