Is Facebook Really Shutting Down March 15? Nope

Rumors abounded this past week that social networking giant Facebook will be closing it’s metaphorical doors on March 15; however, the rumor is just that, and unfounded to boot.

The topic has been trending on Twitter and Google for several days, with users growing increasingly nervous about the near end of their social networking life. It’s not clear how the rumor started, but an opinion piece published on CNN stating that Goldman Sach’s investing in Facebook could be “the beginning of the end” might be adding fuel to the fire.

The investment firm recently sunk $500 million into Facebook’s corporation.
