Release Date Announced For The Verizon iPhone 4
Verizon has announced release of their iPhone 4 to current customers on February 3rd, with general release set for February 10. This is great news for Verizon customers. The long wait is almost over.
The Verizon iPhone 4 will be offered at $199 for the 16GB model and $299 for the 32GB variety. Both models will require a 2 year contract. The Verizon iPhone is the same model offered through AT&T with a few variations.
The Verizon version will use CDMA technology rather than 3G, and the Verizon iPhone 4 will work as a portable Wi-Fi router. This will enable laptop use while traveling and surfing on your iPad without a 3G antenna.
The biggest difference is connectivity. Based on a 2010 carrier quality survey in 26 cities across the U.S., Verizon was the user favorite. The numbers are not in yet, but it looks like a winner for Verizon.
