Sony’s Next Generation PSP To Occupy Hands Q4 2011
Sony’s new handheld powerhouse NGP—Next Generation Portable—was unveiled at a special event in Tokyo today. Being the successor to the company’s 2004 PSP, the device shows many marked improvements over the previous design. Featuring a larger 5” OLED touch screen, the NGP will also allow gamers to download content and connect to one another via Wi-Fi and 3G.
It will be possible to control the device via the touch screen, a SIXAXIS tilt sensor, dual analog sticks, or by a special touch sensitive back panel.
While there is no specific date set for the release of the NGP, Sony has stated that it will be available in the Japanese market this holiday season.
