Verizon Prepares For iPhone 4 Launch In Stores
The iPhone 4 makes its debut in Verizon Wireless stores Thursday. All 2,000 of the company’s retail locations will open at 7 a.m. to handle what is expected to be a crush of new customers. A pre-sale on the internet begins Wednesday at 3 a.m.
The phone will also be available at Apple, Best Buy and Wal-Mart stores. If supplies run out customers will be directed to order from the internet. Last week’s pre-sale of the smart phone to existing customers broke Verizon records for a new phone launch. Until now AT&T has been the exclusive provider for iPhone users.
Verizon expects as many as 15 million new customers.
