iPad 2 Release Date In The Spring With All New Features

Although Apple is famous for waiting till the last minute to announce new product reveals, rumor has it in the tech world that the iPad 2 will make its debut this spring.

April is the most likely time, since that’s when the original iPad was released.

A few features will remain intact, including the 9.7-inch screen, single speaker, and 1024 x 768 resolution. Lots of improvements are rumored to be in the works, though.

An improved graphics processor, more memory and a dual-core processor will improve the iPad experience.

The iPad 2 is also said to sport front and rear cameras, a slimmer design and flat back, and more powerful speaker.

It may be compatible with GSM and CDMA carriers and use Near-field communications (NFC) for banking and purchases.

Other changes for the better include Facetime compatibility (Facetime is Apple’s version of Skype) a new screen coating to prevent smudges and glare.

And users’ demands for an SD slot instead of a USB port may be answered.
