New Pictures of England’s Answer to the Loch Ness Monster Surface

Monday, 21 Feb 2011

Tom Pickles was out kayaking at Lake Windermere when he encountered “Bownessie,” the English Loch Ness monster. The 24 year old was at the lake as part of a team building exercise for his employer, an information technology company. He managed to take the pictures with his cell phone. This is the eighth sighting in the last five years.

Pickles said, “It was petrifying and we paddled back to the shore straight away. At first I thought it was a dog and then saw it was much bigger and moving really quickly at about 10mph.Each hump was moving in a rippling motion and it was swimming fast.” He further described, “Its skin was like a seal’s but its shape was completely abnormal. It’s not like any animal I’ve ever seen before.” He claims the creature was the size of three cars and was only near the surface for 20 seconds.
